ASD STE100
English is the international language of science, technology, and human relations. It is also the language of the aerospace and defense industry.
STE is a controlled language that was created to make sure that documentation written in STE is understood by its readers, which include readers that are non-native English readers.
STE is used in technical publications, user manuals, and other documentation that must be clear and short. It is related to industry standards and specifications, such as S1000D and iSpec2200.
The primary objective of STE is to create simplified texts for the readers. STE is a controlled language, not a simplified version of English.
For authors to write correctly in STE they must have a good command of the English language and a good knowledge of the subject that the author is writing about. Authors who want to write proficiently and correctly in STE must have only one point of reference: the specification itself.

- Who should attend the STE course?
Authors that must implement STE in their technical documents. - Prerequisites:
All students must have a good knowledge of the English grammar.
All students must have access to the ASD-STE100 specification (Issue 9). - Course Content:
The course teaches the STE Rules necessary for the implementation of STE. This is a hands-on training course with many practical exercises. - Course Handouts:
At the start of the course, attendees will receive one handout with a summary of the STE rules and the exercises that will be done during the course. At the end of the course, attendees will receive the handout with the answers to the exercises.
