S1000D

S1000D covers all areas on what is required for the development and delivery of technical publications as either a PDF or Interactive Electronic Technical Publication (IETP).

TIM Consulting has designed the S1000D training to suite your role in the organisation. The areas that we have focused on are:

• Practitioners
• Managers
• Authors

Based on your role determines what knowledge you need about S1000D. Because of this, we have identified the area that need to be considered:

• What is S1000D, its purpose and what needs to be considered for its implementation. This is of prime importance for practitioners.
• It has been decided that the project will use S1000D. You need to identify how controls can be put in place for the project. This is for managers.
• You need to know what Schemas can be used and their purposes. This is for authors.
• For the S1000D project identifying what is required for the delivery of the technical documentation. The practitioners need this knowledge.

All of the material that has been developed is based on Issue 5.0 and Issue 6.0 of the S1000D Speficiation.

The training that is presented is theory which means that there are no requirements for software for this training.
